i just woke up. at 630am.

usually this is getting close to my bedtime.

but i have been zzzz since 9am yesterday.

i missed the canadian tire warehouse sale.

but i cant really think of anything i need anyway.

and i missed helping becky - cause i said i would.

i woke up a couple times -

and missed maitai lots

so i went to back to bed.

and now its monday.

and i missed sunday.

i still dont have a stereo worth listening to in okee.

i tried to install my new license camera

it wouldnt show the image on my screen.

 

so for the past two days ive been working with a piece of plexiglass that had nothing wrong with it in the first place.

but i decided to make it better.

i usually keep both my computer monitors on lazy susans but a slight problem arouse when matt gave me these awesome logitech speakers last year (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers_audio/home_pc_speakers/devices/202&cl=us,en)

when the monitor would rotate more than 45` it would knock the speaker right off the desk.

then one day matt had a great idea.

he put a piece of plexiglass under the monitor and the speaker on top of the lazy susan.

that way they would rotate together.

ta-da!!!

but stupid kali thought it could be better.

so i bought different lazy susan hardware at home depot

and starting dismantling the speaker and the monitor to mark the needed holes in the plexiglass

because mounting them directly to the plexi would surely be easy and great

i drilled the holes for the lazy susan and the speaker

and proceeded to rivet the lazy susan to the wrong side of the plexi

rivets need to be drilled out

then i finally got that lazy susan off

except that i bent one corner of it in the removal

so i guess its a good thing that i bought two of them in the first place

(ya ya two of each - i know - my name should be noah)

so then i realized that i countersunk the mounting holes for the speaker on the wrong side of the plexi

oh well

now they arent countersunk

they're just big

and so i drill the holes for the monitor mount

thats when i realize how fucking weird of a thread both mounts use

after looking through my entire screw/bolt collection (you have no idea...)

i find out that i dont have any of the same thread pattern that would fit through the plexi

so after all the hole drilling and redrilling and countersinking and hot bits of plexi-spirals flying everywhere

i end up using double sided tape

i hate double sided tape

i mean i love tape

but i hate it

then the moment comes of balancing a 19" monitor on my knees with a speaker balanced on the arm of the chair

and i stick the plexiglass in place

 

side note: its proven that boys can visualize 2d into 3d better than girls (to counter that apparantly girls can communicate better - big fucking whoopiedingdong)

 

i place the contraption right side up on my desk

and it topples over

and crashes on the desk

and i almost broke everything

so now i dont even want it on a lazy susan at all

well it snowed last week.

and two days ago.

the radio said the last time it snowed in april in vancouver was 1968.

today was the sun run.

and the 420 rally.

i was unaware of either until after they were over.

thank god.

or rather thank narcolepsy.

god didnt do shit.

its my day off today.

i cleaned my room.

thanks to phaedra.

now almost my whole house is clean.

in case any of you havent been to my house lately, it was a disaster. but now thanks to a few close friends i have a floor again! unfortunately, i have to do my bedroom. but thats good news for all the girls cause that means that ill be giving away lots of stuff. make sure and ask about my give aways next time youre here.

matt quit again. or he says he was fired again. whichever.whatever. same end result. neither of us wins. he blocked me on msn. and so now for all of your enjoyment, heres my dirty laundry. matt doesnt understand that this is a job. i guess hes had better jobs than i have throughout his life because he thinks he can make his own job description. until i started my own company i was never given that priveledge. when he is working, i expect him to work. the entire time. that is how every job i have ever had has been. if i ran out of tasks then it was up to me to find something to do. matt didnt seem to be able to do that so i made a list of things to do when it was slow. that list made him very mad. he never checks it. therefore he never does the things that are on it. the first and only time he looked at it, he mocked me by adding peel grapes and run bath to the bottom of the list. im pretty sure that if i had added peel grapes to the bottom of my list of tasks when i worked at starbucks i would have been fired on the spot. but matt seems to think he is above the law of work. he seems to think that he only has to do what he wants to do. and when he wants to do it. otherwise i am being a "stupid idiot". i have tried to talk to him in an adult way about this but that only leads to him screaming and leaving "forever" and so i have run out of ideas on how to get my message across. he says positive reinforcement works better than negative but i dont see how putting up gold stars for fucking up is going to solve anything. any ideas?
